Dr Pat Drake...yeah he's a little insane, but he's a good guy....He has a licence to use black powder so don't try this at home kiddies.

He should be invited over to this forum. We already have some crack-pots, another won't hurt. AND I don't think we need licenses for black powder here. (Ain't 'Merica grand!)

Already done that.
Mike if you can get off your date and get that DVD I bought you of the last Australian SubRegatta (2010) working you see the full scale of what Pat can do. He has decades of work in this area - so again regardless of what you are allowed to blow up in the States - don't try it at home...

I met Pat Drake a few years ago when he came home to England to see family and friends, he popped in to meet up and bought some bits and pieces from me. He is a nice guy and very talented, he gave me a copy of a video of his 1/24th scale type VII in conflict with a large scale RC Sunderland Flyng boat that was dropping live depth charges around his sub and some more video of his massive USS Missouri firing a broadside from its 9 15" guns, he used 12 bore shot gun cartridges for effect. The ducks were dying from heart attack.
