I found that Raboesch makes 2 types of 35.mm (1 3/8") for 3/16" shafts, 3 bladed prop sets, which would probably be good choices for 1/48th scale British T-class Sub.

A-type Blades, Numbers 176-03 (RH) and 176-04 (LH)
D-type Blades, Numbers 157-03 (RH) and 157-04 (LH)

A-type would look more realistic (WW2 design).

Mike, would you happen to have any of these in stock?

I see that Raboesch makes 4 types of Blade shapes on their props.
It seems that in order of design Age they are:
A, D, C, B types
('A' being the oldest prop design) ('B' being very modern)

I was looking at their 2007 catalog first, but then noticed that the 2008 catalog did not have as many props listed. I hope that doesn't mean that they've stopped making some of them.

I don't have those in stock right now, but I'll put them on my list for the next order.

The A type is the correct design.

Mike,
The 3/16" Shafts and the 35.mm Props to fit 3/16"shafts (numbers in post above), may not be available from Raboesch anymore? I could Not find them listed on any of the websites in the U.K. They may be only for American market tho?
If not, we can go with 4.mm size props and shafts.
(I have no idea about shaft length needed, if we have to go with 4.mm, since the 4.mm threaded ones are usually much shorter than 3/16" thread shafts)
4.mm Prop #s 146-11 and 146-12, I think.

But I would prefer 3/16", if possible.

Here's a picture of some of the propellers that Raboesch makes:
(for those that have Not seen these Great Quality props)
(The type at top-center is what's needed for British T-class and many other older style ships)

Mike,
Have you had a chance to check on the availability of the Raboesch props that will fit 3/16" size thread on shafts? I've not been able to determine if they still make them, by checking Internet?
If not, I may try calling a factory Rep, if I can find a number.
Thanks,

Or if you would Loan me your private Jet, I could make a quick trip across the Pond, to find out. :D LOL :D

What propellers are best to use on the Revell U-boat-VII model?
I was thinking about using Raboesch 25.mm diameter and 3.mm shaft. (3 bladed of course)
Is 25.mm too large, when using struts that are same length as those in kit? Looks like clearance would be very close.

I looked at those Mike, but they are so dang Small, I was hopeing someone had tried some a little larger?
What if I get into a Drag-race with another boat? :D

I guess they are close to Scale tho.
You can add a set of those to my order, if it's not to late to get it on that order.
Thanks,
I can get the Hot-rod props Later. :D

I hope you don't mind me ordering stuff on the Forum this Way? :)

Guys!

Don't try to order stuff on the forum. You need to do this on the web page.

I seldom go in the office and I have no knowledge of your order status.

I'm supposed to be retired. My trolls do this work! Crack That WHip

Mike,
I found a source for the gear-grip type shaft-couplers, in the US, if you would like to stock them?
I have not found any of the smaller .4"O.D. type, tho, those may not be made anymore.
I only have 3 more left, of the .7"O.D. size, so I'll probably need to reorder soon.
I've not checked priceing yet.

Mike,
Did you get my PM I sent, about the Props that were supposed to be on my order? I called your store and asked them to check on it also, but I think she was just going to email You about them?
I believe that Inch shaft size Props are no longer available from Raboesch, Only milli-meter sizes.

I'm just starting to realize what a Big problem it's going to be if Raboesch is no long making them. It means the 1/8" and 3/16" shafts and tubes we have, will not work either. :( I guess they are trying to force us to use their Dang Metric system.

Please respond,
Or better yet, Just send me some Dang Props!

Below is part of the email message I got from Kailagh at Caswell-Plating, about availability of Inch size props.
I sure hope we can still get them!

We have placed an order for the 176-03 and the 176-04 propellers. As far as I can tell we can still get them. If I hear anything from the company about us not being able to get them I will let you know.

Anyone know where I can purchase some Very Small propellers, about 10.mm (7/16") diameter, to fit a 2.mm or 1/16" shaft ???
I need some for torpedos.
I may have to make them but I'd like to find some in production, if possible?
Thanks,

Kailagh at Caswell said she has recieved the Raboesch Props for 1/8" and 3/16" shaft sizes that I ordered. :)
So they are still available :), even tho they don't appear to be made anymore, at the Raboesch website.

Looks like I'll be 'Making' Props for my torpedos, since you guys have not found any small enough for me to use. :D LOL :D
I'll probably bend and shape some brass sheet (2 bladed) and solder them to brass rod, to keep it KISS.
