I've done the installation on my Gato Subdriver and am having trouble. The link up between the WFT-08 and the SL-08 doesn't work! It took about 10 min. for the servo's to stop glitching as if the link up was made but the sticks/knobs on the transmitter wouldn't work! I did the link up several times but to no avail as still no stick control. The Transmitter is set to PPM. Now the servo's won't stop glitching and no link can be made?

I then switched over to my WFLY-06 and within seconds the link-up was complete and all functions were working so it doesn't seem to be my Subdriver's causing the problem. Any advice will be welcom.

It looks as if it's working now! I tried the receiver that came with the WFT-08 and it still didn't work. I then tried a different approach. I tried setting the transmitter with the WFLY receiver to a different model and what do you know it linked up! I then reconnected the SL-08 and no link up! So I tried a 3rd model and now it looks like it's working. I say looks like as I have it in helicopter mode and several servo's are linked together. I'm sure now that I understand what the problem was I can sort it out 100%.

Setting up theWFT-08 and the SL-8

I decided to use the acro (airplane) mode for the set up as there were less chances of problems that one could have in the heli (helicopter)mode where several servo’s could be linked up.
During the set up, I disconnected the LPB and the motors as per the viper 10 ESC instructions. All the other servo’s were connected to the SL-8
1. Turn on the WFT-08
2. Make sure you set mode 2 on the WFT-08. See paragraph 7 under Airplane Instructions
3. Make sure you have the WFT-08 modulation set to ppm. See paragraph 6 under Airplane Instructions
4. Set the WFT-08 model setting to acro (airplane)mode See paragraph 3 under Airplane Instructions
5. Set theWFT-08 model select to any one of 1 to 8 See paragraph 1 under Airplane Instructions Note: Your transmitter will beep telling you that you have assigned a model number.
6. Plug in the jumper that comes with the SL-8 into#8 on the Receiver.
7. Turn on the Receiver, with luck your servo’s will glitch then stop informing you that the transmitter and receiver have linked up.
8. Turn off the receiver and remove the jumper on #8.
9. Turn off the WFT-08
10. Reconnect the motors and the LPB
11. Turn the WFT-08 back on
12. Turn the SL-8 on and with luck when you move the controls on the Transmitter the servo’s should also turn!

It seems that when you type in Word then copy and past to the Thread, some spaces are missing between words?
