I just got some rc gear from my son last night.
His friends grandpa passed over a year ago.
I really got a lot of stuff.
Two chargers for Ni/Ca which is what I run my Robbe SeaWolf with so that helps right there. A Hobbiecoe 905 and a Pro Teck 701
3 Ni/Ca batteries...1200 and 2x 1400
I think 25cc motors for rc boats, three of them anyway.
Four Airplane motors of the gas type
Electric motors for a boat, double 700's missing the shaft.
A nice folding prop with a 600 electric motor
Other electric motors of 700 size, 600, 550
tx and rx 2 channel Acoms APA 272
tx and rx 7 channel Cirrus Wave 5
4 channel tx Futuba Attack 4 AM
Futuba PCM1024 Super, 7 channel digital tx that was for a helicoper.
All FREE!
I found this about the PCM1024
Futaba FF7 SUPER transmitter SET,battery + charger(SUITABLE FOR ALL RC )
This is the Super version with multiple model memories and is advanced so you have SWITCHABLE PCM1024 / PCM / PPM, ATV, DUAL RATES, EXPONENTIAL, REVERSES, FAIL SAFE, PROGRAM MIXES 1 & 2, and so on, if you know what the FF7 is then you know it is a very good transmitter and fully capable to handle advance flying 3D, gliders and jets. You can also upgrade this transmitter to 2.4GHz by buying the upgrade Futaba TM-7 2.4GHz Module this costs £90. Then you have a complete multi use transmitter either 35MHz or upgrade to 2.4Ghz when you feel like it.
The transmitter battery is an 8 cell overlander pack 800maH Nicad.

I sometimes think about who I should leave my RC models and gear to, when I go. But none of my relatives would respect, understand or deserve it. :o
So I guess I'll let someone else deside what to do with them, my wife probably.
She'll probably sell them on eBay. :D

Its odd what you bring up...
You know I swear I could feel the old man through the equipment.
In fact the gear got seperated....for instance the helicopter that went with that tx, gone to the wind....sad really.
I told my son I feel sorry that something the gentlemen put so much time and love into was just scattered....what a waste in one way.
But I do respect the mans memory and his equipment and I hope to keep his spirit alive in my joy for the hobbie.
To a life well lived
I'll drink to THAT!

I've instructed Ellie to fork-lift my sorry, dead ass atop the shed (where she would have previously placed all my model building stuff), and set the whole mess ablaze!
Me, and my stuff, in Valhalla! Screw you guys!
