I have an old two channel pistol grip radio. 75MHZ ch. 90. Its made by Aristocraft. Will your Sombra labs reciever bind and work with this radio? Also I take it it will work on 72 MHZ as well. Ive got a lot of recievers that dont seem to be real good at rejecting interference. Your reciever seems to be real good at operating in hostile environments ie: motor brush noise, some suspended solids in water. If suitable Ill need 4 or 5 of them.

Guys (and particularly Andy),
http://www.dimensionengineering.com/...s/DE-SW0XX.pdf
http://www.dimensionengineering.com/...s/DE-SWADJ.pdf

What I want to do is step down an input voltage of around 6v to 12v to around 3v - where this voltage will power a small radar unit.

What I want to know is how do I wire it up.
The unit has three pin terminals. These are Voltage IN / GRND / Voltage Out.
I am unsure about this.

My thinking is that:
Voltage IN = the positive V and wire from the voltage input
Voltage OUT = the positive V and wire to my radar DC motor
GRND = both the negative wire from the input voltage and the negative wire to the DC motor

Is that correct?

If not how do I hook it up?

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I decided to sell my 1/144 Trumpeter Kilo. I purchased this kit in october 2011 and I do not have the time to dip my hands in this one. I have other projects on my plate at the moment that need to be completed. This kit was purchased from Rc Sub-Workshop and they sell this Kilo as a complete kit that is marketed by them. It is a complete kit with the WTC (Needs to be cut to size by you) with a micro brushless 1700 kv motor and esc which is waterproof and installed in the wet portion of the hull. The ballast system is a micro, low rpm high volume pump which pumps water in and out of a bladder and comes with it's own reversing controller. This model is able to hover at depth without any forward motion. Everything is in the kit to make the sub functional but all you need to supply is a battery pack and your own 4ch min TX and RX. It also comes with a custom brass prop and shaft. All the nescesary parts like wires, plugs, hoses, seals, servos and a Caswell/D&E fittings package are in kit. Everything is still brand new in the bag and unstarted. Please note that this kit does not come with assembly instructions. I only can supply photo's of the assembly process that they emailed me at the time of purchase. Asking $300+ shipping. I may trade for an unstarted 1/96 Alfa or Akula hull. Thanks for looking.

Start with cork drawer liner from lowes. It has a sticky backing.

Lay out the deck and cut out first level of cork. Then make another copy .

Peel back the two layers and carefully lay one on the other sticky sides facing each other.

Double sided now ,cork on both sides .Now back to shop to drill holes and cut away center section.
More to come .

Hi Guys,
I scoured the forums to see if anyone had a way of finding any leaks on their subdrivers. Trying to locate a leak on a Subdriver can take a long time and be a big pain. I do not know if anyone has tried this so here goes. What I do is remove the inner shrader valve from the Subdriver motor bulkhead and take a syringe(any size will do) and use a piece of tubing between the syringe and the valve and inject enough pressure into the Subdriver so the caps don't pop off. Then I take a house cleaner like Hertel or Spraynine (these work best) and spray the Suddriver all over like the shaft seals, the pushrod seals, end cap orings even inside the ballast where the blow valve is and found that the valve their had a very small leak of gas propel. Where there are bubbles there is a leak. This saves me alot of time. All I have to do is repair the leak.

I am new to the forum but have been reading posts for a few months now. I have my first submarine, the Albacore and am looking for some parts and help. If any of you can tell me where to get the X-tail conversion I have seen many of you do, that would be a great help.
I will be reading with much interest on how you guys do your wtc's
